Join us for a transformative weekend of singing, yoga, sound, storytelling, and community at Desert Rose Bahá’í Institute in Eloy, Arizona. Through joyful group singing, mindful movement, soothing sound baths, and a powerful Story Slam exploring race and surprising revelations, we’ll create space to connect more deeply with ourselves and one another. Together, we’ll breathe, move, listen, share, and celebrate the healing power of community—culminating in a community choir performance honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Frequently asked questions
Anyone 15 and older who enjoys singing, yoga, and sound baths. All races, religions, genders, and backgrounds are warmly welcome. No singing or yoga experience is required.
We offer four accommodation options:
• Dorm-Style: Bunk beds in shared dorm rooms with shared bathrooms. Up to 20 people per dorm. $50/night.
• Private Bedroom: Private bedroom with a shared bathroom. Same-gender accommodations. $125/night.

• Local hotel of your choice
Chef Stephan Maywalt will prepare three wholesome, nourishing meals each day, served cafeteria-style. Enjoy fresh salads, soup, and a choice of vegetarian or meat-based entrées. Dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated.
Desert Rose Bahá’í Institute (DRBI) is about 60 miles south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).
• Rent a car and consider offering a ride to other participants arriving around the same time.
• Share an Uber or Lyft with other retreat participants.
• Coordinate with participants arriving at similar times to share transportation and costs.
The attached Google Doc includes the full retreat schedule. We invite you to make the retreat your own—give yourself permission to participate in whatever calls to you, rest and soak up the sunshine, or simply skip any activities that don’t interest you. There’s no pressure to do it all—come as you are and create the experience that feels right for you.
Our refund policy is:
• Full refund: Cancel at least 30 days before the retreat begins (by December 15).
• 50% refund: Cancel with at least 15 days’ notice (by January 1).
• Less than 15 days’ notice: No refund is available.
If you are within the non-refundable period, transferring your registration to another person is another option. Please contact Tahirih to coordinate a transfer.
